The Project was created to bring together all the photographs and other documents that village people have about the village and to scan these into an online archive which can also record information about those images and documents. The project was managed by a small committee who are gave their time and skills for free. There was no public funding or support from any bodies outside the village.
In 2015 the Wenhaston Archive Project was wound up as there were no local people prepared to run the project any longer. We are very grateful to The Southwold Railway Trust who have offered to take over the Archive Project and fund continued development of the website and ensure its long term future.
This website is the core of the Project and holds all the documents that we have gathered together with the information we have researched about each item. The Archive can be searched by keyword or category. If you have any questions or if there is any further information you can offer us do get in touch on firstname.lastname@example.org
